Can You Say "Gator"

I went out looking for a redfish and came home with a Gator. It had been a couple of days since I have been on the water, tides not right wind from the wrong direction etc.etc. So late one evening I decided to venture out and see if the school of reds I had been on were where I thought they should be. SO as the sun set and the tide was falling I was working a flat on St Joe Bay when I came upon this "little gator". I cast a 5 1/2 " DOA jerk bait toward a sand hole in the grass. As the bait settled I felt a very light tap that I mistook as grass. I began to notice my line began to move off to the side I gave a quick tug on my bait. That's when my evening immediately began to amp up. The Power Pro Line I use began to screen off the reel and I saw nothing but large swirls out in front of me.

I was able to get the upper hand in what seemed like an eternity but it was only a few minutes. She weighed in at 10.25 lbs.

I have often felt that St Joe Bay held some really big trout. Now I know for sure.
